Killbuck Creek Quilts
Killbuck Creek Quilts
All About Us
Killbuck Creek Quilts is named for the picturesque little stream that meanders near our primary quilter's rural home. At the present, the company consists of Sharon May, Indiana quilt artist and Kathy Badger, business manager and  "fabric fairy", with clerical help from Jeanne, Sharon's delightful mother and with quilts by friends or Sharon's students, when available and if we're lucky,  a few vintage "finds".

"Kathy buys most of the fabric used in our quilts and has an
excellent eye for color and texture. She brings in these
absolutely exquisite pieces and I get to create. She's like a
fabric fairy that drops in periodically and leaves gifts."

---Sharon

"Sharon's ability to apply traditional and contemporary
quilting techniques to create unique designs results in some
of the most breathtaking quilts you will ever see. She belongs on the "Indiana Artists" listing. She is never satisfied with doing "just a quilt"--she must always create a piece of art. Whether the quilt is meant for family or commercial sale, Sharon's work evokes strong emotion."

---Kathy
Although Sharon has only been quilting seriously since 1995,
she says she's finally found her calling. After mastering
numerous other handicrafts, she made her first 'real' quilt for
the impending birth of her first grandchild. Entering her first
quilt show, she took a first and a third. Between making
quilts for her ever-expanding family, Sharon produces
wallhangings and baby quilts which we offer to the public
here at KILLBUCK CREEK QUILTS and in the
Exit 76 Antique Mall in Edinburgh, Indiana.

Kathy is our business manager and Fabric Fairy. She loves
shopping for (
and buying) the beautiful fabrics you see
showcased in our quilts. While Kathy doesn't sew (
she tats!), her eye for color and texture contribute to the unique artwork
produced by Killbuck Creek Quilts. Kathy's "day" job requires her to travel across the country resulting in an eclectic mix of ideas from various locales. From the coast of California to the Arizona desert to the Georgia lowlands, Kathy is an observer of people, traditions and tastes -all of which influence Killbuck Creek productions.
