| The main color of this hand quilted twin beauty is light blue. The top of the quilt is divided into sixteen squares in which mariner's compass blocks are set against a white background. The indicators for the four directions of the compass are half in solid turkey red and half in gingham red. The other points are in green and blue prints. The borders of each square are flying geese. The top is in turn enclosed by a larger flying geese border. The quilt has a knife edge print border which is covered with vertical hand-quilted lines between the outer and inner borders that makes the quilt hang particularly graceful. |
