| Tony Stewart has spent four full years in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, and in each of those years he's been labeled as a championship threat. During his rookie year in 1999 he finished fourth in points and won the Rookie of the Year award, but most surprisingly, he managed to impress the Intimidator! . In his sophomore year he finished sixth in points. And in 2001 he was runner-up to Winston Cup title winner Jeff Gordon. | As any true Tony Stewart fan knows, he prefers to be called "Smoke"over "Rushville Rocket", "Columbus Comet" or (shudder) "Tony the Tiger" Tony's ability to get into anything with wheels and win has made him a fan favorite. |
