Killbuck Creek Quilts

Welcome to
my sewing room

(which my Mom insists on calling my "studio")

This is where I do all of the machine quilting and
most of the piecing on my quilts.  When my old
Singer finally couldn't stand up to the hours of work
that I was asking of it, I started my "machine fund."
I told all of my family & friends to take the money
they would have spent on me for birthdays, Christmas
and Mother's day and add it to the fund.  I put every
penny I could raise in there also.  My Dad and "Quilt
Hubby" added whatever they had in their pockets
numerous times.  I finally got the machine of my
dreams and now spend all of my "free"time creating.
Bundles of batting fill the closet behind the chair.

This is my work table (an unused dining room tale with
both leaves inserted) and pressing area.  It also has my
old Singer which I now use when my Elna is occupied
with a quilt, or I need to wind another bobbin. My
ever-growing collection of specialty threads are housed
on the walls and the folding table that I use to baste
quilts is tucked away behind the ironing board.

This is part of my "stash", the fabric that Fabric Fairy
buys for me.  These are just the pieces smaller that one
yard.  If you look closely under my worktable (above)
you can just see the totes that store my larger pieces of
fabric.  Granbaby loves to sort my scraps into the clear
plastic shoe boxes on top.
