1 yd. light fabric, I used a light blue on white print 1 yd. darker fabric, I used a light blue on medium blue 1-3/4 yd. backing fabric (includes 1/4 yd. hanging sleeve) Water-soluble thread, available at fabric stores About 2 sq. yds quilt batting 4 scraps of batting at least 8" square |

Cut:
From lightest fabric:
3 strips, 3-1/2" x 40" or Width Of Fabric 1 strip, 9-1/2" x WOF (see above) 4 outer border strips, 3-1/2" x 30-1/2" (save scraps for corners) 1 strip, 1-7/8" x WOF, subcut into 16 1-7/8" squares
From darkest fabric:
3 strips, 3-1/2" x WOF, for Ninepatch 2 Snowball strips, 4-3/8" x WOF, subcut into 16 4-3/8" squares 4 Inner Border strips, 2" x 30-1/2" 1 strip, 2-3/8" x WOF, subcut into 16 2-3/8" squares for cornerstones |
