This was my first attempt at a curved pattern. I, like most people, love the Wedding Ring quilts that were a traditional gift for weddings and anniversaries. People cherished these quilts, which is why there are so many still around. Although I love the classic pink and blue versions, this quilt is striking in mauves and greens. It was also my first attempt at 3-D flowers, a technique to which I am just now returning. The vine, however, took forever to hand applique and I'm not quite confident enough of my machine applique technique to attempt so thin a line. I'll give it a little more time :
