This "Bears Paw" baby quilt was made for the birth of Max, the son of my favorite Busch driver, Mike "Magic Shoes" McLaughlin and his wife, Katie. It is one of the loveliest quilts I have made to date. |

This baby quilt is 40" square and has a multi-colored blue/purple abstract fabric on a white on white print. The cabled hearts (my own design) and border are trapuntoed with a 1" diamond grid as background quilting. All of the months that I was working on it, my husband kept referring to it as the "Magic Booties" quilt, so that's what it became! |
