Because I wanted to keep it at crib-quilt size, I added narrower than originally planned borders. I was as surprised as anyone when the linked chain border quilting proved to be so striking.

| When I started this quilt, it was for a man that worked with my husband. About halfway through, the company announced that the new owners were shutting the doors! Needless to say, the man no longer wanted the quilt. I put it aside for a while but when my daughter needed a shower gift for a client who was expecting a boy, I thought of this one.
