Heart's Desire

This quilt took a first place ribbon in my very first quilt show. I hated to part with it but at least I know it went to a good home and to someone I like and respect.The background fabric is a tan-on-white print. Each appliqued heart is outlined with feather quilting, separated with pieced hourglass blocks in some of my best fabrics. The wide border is the classic cable pattern, again outlined in feathers. I especially liked the effect of the antique gold cotton quilting thread against the pale background material.
