| This couch quilt was made for Fabric Fairy's birthday. Actually, I made it mostly to hold her over until I finished her bed quilt. I just love the old Irish Chain quilts that I have seen in museums and books and wanted to learn the technique. I started on this quilt shortly after our first trip to northern Indiana's Amish communities. I went crazy over their feathered quilting patterns and use them as often as is appropriate for the type of quilt. FF's favorite color is forest green (our fabric stash is tilted heavily to dark greens, I've even had to establish a "no more greens till I use some of these up" rule :) |
